How To Clean Eyelash Extensions Video Transcript

you
this tutorial is going to teach you how
to either clean your own lash extensions
or you can use this video to send to
your clients to teach them how to clean
their own eyelash extensions and these
are the materials that we are going to
need we will need a favorite bottle of
lash shampoo which is one part baby
shampoo placed in the bottom and four
parts water and we give it a good shake
and that will mix it nicely together we
need a cup of clean water this is cooled
down kettle water so that it's nice and
sterile we've got ourselves a brush here
how to clean eyelash extensions
this one here is actually from premier
lash and is a eyelash cleansing brush
but any soft makeup brush will do
exactly the same thing and we've got one
of these square cotton ball type pads
here they're normally used for nails but
they're lint-free and these are really
good for cleaning your lashes with so I
will now show you how you go about
cleaning your lashes so I'm now going to
teach you how to clean your eyelash
extensions and I'm going to do this on
myself so you're going to see me looking
backwards and forwards between the
camera lens and the little camera that
how to clean eyelash extensions
I've got next to me so that I can see
that actually you've got my iron shot
now I have got extensions on these are
hanging on for dear life they've been on
for just over four weeks now because I
just haven't had time to have a feel but
you can seal this quite see there's
still quite a few on there but what a
perfect way for me to show you how to
clean your eyelash extensions so with
our last shampoo what we've done with
our favor bottle is we've put a little
bit there as you can see in the bottom
of our favor bottle and with our brush
we're going to come in and we're going
how to clean eyelash extensions
to grab a little bit so I'm just going
to do that now and I'm going to grab a
little bit of foam on my brush and with
my cotton wore I'm going to place that
underneath my eye like so and I'm going
to start going in and with the brush I'm
just starting to work the baby shampoo
into my eyelashes and the reason we use
baby shampoo is because it
gentle enough not to sting our eyes but
it's harsh enough to start breaking down
those oils that get into our lashes and
can start affecting the bonds by
breaking down the glue and caused my
lashes to come off I'm just going to go
how to clean eyelash extensions
back into my favor grab a little bit
more back again a little bit more on
there and as so and you might lose one
or two lashes and this is not probably I
don't forget that we lose between two
and five natural lashes every single day
so if you do see a few extensions
dropping off this really isn't a problem
it's just part of what our natural
lashes do and it's good that we're doing
this because it means that actually
we're getting rid of those extensions
that are ready to come out so when
you're happy that you've done that this
is where you're going to come in and you
how to clean eyelash extensions
can see that I've lost I think I've lost
one or two there no problem at all
so this is where you can come in with
your fresh water or your kettle water to
actually rinse off the baby shampoo so
I'm just going to go I've got a nice
little pot of water just taking the
excess off this that's not saturating
and coming in and just clean the lashes
like so and you need to be doing this at
least once a day
some clients can get away with it doing
it once every couple of days but I like
to do this every day just to keep my
eyes nice and clean and prevent any sort
how to clean eyelash extensions
of nastiness going on in there any
infections if you're suddenly that wears
a lot of makeup you might have to do
this more often I don't really wear a
lot of makeup maybe a little bit of eye
shadow but I don't wear any eyeliner
anything like that so for me I don't you
know I don't get anything sort of stuck
right in here and you should see that
your your lashes are clean if you've got
black coming out you know you can see
that my pad here is clean if you've got
black coming out you know
not clean but if you can see that it's
of your brush you clean your pad is
clean you know that you've got all of
that horrible gunk out that can get in
them and that's pretty much it and then
what you can do is you can go through
like so you can use a bit of paper to
blot them if you need be and if you use
a little bit of paper towel to blot them
you can grab yourself a brush and you
can brush through them you know mine
aren't a great example because they are
absolutely hanging on for dear life as
you can see but we can now sort of rest
assure that that is now nice and clean
and we're not going to get a buildup of
bacteria in there cleaning our lashes
properly is going to prevent blepharitis
which is an eye infection which is
associated with poor cleaning of eyelash
extension so it is important that you
are keeping your lashes clean in order
to get rid of those natural oils that
can break down the glue and to stop us
getting our infections and you will find
that when you keep your lashes clean
that your lashes will last longer
because you are getting the lashes nice
and squeaky clean and we are ridding
them off the oils that start to break
down the lash glue so please feel free
to send this to your clients or keep it
for your own reference and that's how
you keep your lashes nice and squeaky
clean
