hello everyone how are you doing this is
mdtech here for another quick tutorial
today I'm going to be showing you how to
create a shortcut on your computer that
will clear the clipboard so the
clipboard is an area that stores files
such as text graphics sound or video
that could be copied into a Word
document or basically any other program
and pasted so since the clipboard can
only hold one of these at a time it
automatically will replace anything that
might have already been saved to the
clipboard so if you are constantly
copying and pasting items and you would

like to have the option is to clear
whatever has already been copied into
the clipboard this will make it a lot
easier for you so we're going to start
by right clicking on the desktop here
and then we're going to left click on
new and then left-click on the shortcut
so then you'll be prompted to which item
would you like to create a shortcut for
so I'm going to actually paste in the
location for this item I will have this
in the description of this video as well
so you can - just paste it in and then
you want to left click on next and then
you have to type a name for the shortcut

you can name this basically whatever you
want I'm just going to call it clear
clipboard just for simplicity sake and
then when I left click on finish
and then if you're not happy with how
this shortcut appears do not worry if
you right click on the shortcut and left
click on properties
left click change icon underneath look
for icons in this file all you have to
do is just get rid of the command idfc
and then put in capital D lowercase X P
task and then you see that appears we
have a match it comes up underneath so
formally its DX P task sync dot DLL so

then you wanna left click on OK and we
see we have a few different icons that
appear here so if you want to pick
whichever one best matches what we're
trying to accomplish here if you rather
do a check mark or having like a picture
might make you think of copying and
pasting or perhaps a folder or piece be
a sticky pad whatever you want to label
it as it's fine it's up to you guys or
if you're happy with how it looks with
the command prompt logo it's fine I'm
just going to select the little picture
icon then left click on ok and then I'm
gonna love click on apply and ok and
underneath clear clipboard we have a new
icon so I hope this brief tutorial
