hello my name is Josiah ray I'm going toshow you how to type numbers using the
square root symbol in Microsoft Word
this is a pretty simple insert using a
symbol so here we are in Microsoft Word
and all we have to do is come over to
the insert tab click on symbol all the
way over on the right and select more
symbols these symbols here are your
recently used symbols or symbols they
think you're going to use the square
root symbol doesn't often appear here so
click more symbols and underneath the
subset you're on the right we're going
to select mathematical operators and as
right there in the middle so I think it
defaults you up to superscripts and
subscripts or something like that so
again you just come down to mathematical
operators and it's right there in the
middle you just click insert and then
close and so you can then type 100 and
you know square root of 100 is 10 and so
that's and you just type the numbers
right in as though you were typing
letters it doesn't really have any
conflict of formatting there so hope
