hi again it's Frank oxygen guy like us
subscribe to us join us today we're
going to talk about how to clean a CPAP
machine or how to clean a BiPAP machine
for the demonstration today the terms
are interchangeable essentially a lot of
people like to call this sleep apnea
machine CPAP BiPAP but for today this is
basically how we're going to do it this
one here is a Phillips system one BiPAP
now it's not really difficult you'd be
surprised how many people really don't
do this and then there's others do a
great job of it what i like to use when
i come in contact with these it's

essentially what we call a meta side
it's a disinfectant basically cleans up
everything and makes really nice and
sterile and good to go but you can use
soapy water just like a damp little damp
amount of sympathy water don't soak it
you want to feel dry it pretty easily
we're doing is we're just getting a dirt
off and obviously this is unplugged you
wouldn't want to do this why it's
powered up even with just a very little
damp amount don't want to take a chance
I'm causing any electrical issues so you
know this is just getting any little
bits of dust down and up why do we want

to do this well I want a machine nice
and clean we don't let Gert on it and
let's face it we're using this to help
things we're breathing it in we want it
to be nice and clean so go looks pretty
nice didn't take much not much at all
now here in the back this is where the
filter goes in
obviously it's out get in there I'm sure
we got a little it's a dirt lesser is a
nice shape there we go good as new cards
in the back ok now the emitter fired
cell Phil you want to take this out on a
regular basis and wash it soapy water
dry it and then you can put it back in

try to go for the next night what
happens if you don't get the soapy the
soap out of it if this guns will build
up in it and or if you're not using
distilled water ass guns will bill it up
in here really quick the salt and the
chemicals they use to treat the water
plus it's going into your nasal you
don't want that distilled water that's
type of water you can use for this like
to say soapy water clean out on a daily
basis pop that back in there we're ready
to go now
